You love getting involved in all kinds of different maintenance tasks, from replacing a broken glass plate to installing counters and repairing damaged doors. Every day brings new jobs and that is exactly what makes your job so much fun! You will often spend a day working at different locations in the Randstad, but you will also regularly spend your day at the airport. You like to go to a project independently, but also enjoy being sent out together with a colleague every now and then. As a mechanic, you are INTOS' calling card, a role you enjoy fulfilling! As a maintenance engineer, you are part of our maintenance team. For 15 years, this team has been taking care of any questions or requests from our (business) customers even after completion of the interior.
Does this position suit your desire to do challenging and varied work across the country in an independent manner? Then read more about this vacancy for service engineer at INTOS in Haarlem.
A day in the life of a service engineer
Your working day starts today at 7am. You heard from the maintenance coordinator yesterday that you are going to do the annual maintenance round at one of our customers. You have a cup of coffee and then load up the tools and materials you need. You drive to location and get to work. There are some doors in cupboards that hang crookedly, there is a Corian counter that needs to be re-sanded and it turns out that an entrance door is jammed, so you repair that immediately as well. At the end of the morning, you report back to the customer's contact person. After this successful maintenance round, you drive on to a customer because of a service call. This customer has deep scratches in a table top, which you will repair. After you have made the top look like new again, you also notice that the straps of a large number of cabinet doors are no longer fastened properly. You take photos of this and discuss this with one of the coordinators when you return to the office this afternoon, so that a quotation can be made.
After lunch, you get a call from your colleague in the office asking if you have time to visit a customer this afternoon due to an emergency call: the locks are broken. No problem for you! Fortunately, you have space in your schedule and, after having attended to all of today's scheduled customers, you can go and fix the locks. With a satisfied feeling you drive back to INTOS, because today you were able to do a lot for the customer. Back at the office, you discuss the day with your team members and check if there are any particularities. You also take a look at the schedule for tomorrow, so you know what to expect. Tomorrow you and a colleague will be scheduled for the whole day at the airport. Things regularly get damaged and tomorrow you will visit the airport to repair some counters and seats.
