As an apprentice or trainee furniture fitter, you will be at INTOS working in our field service. This entails performing assembly work at various locations at our clients' premises. Of course, you do not do this alone, but in teamwork with an experienced furniture fitter. INTOS makes custom-made furniture, ranging from a cabinet wall to a complete office interior. As a trainee furniture fitter, you will visit clients daily to assemble the custom-made furniture. Within this apprenticeship there is every opportunity to learn the trade internally!
Your day starts early, as an early bird you will be at INTOS as early as 6:30 am. You have a cup of coffee or tea and then, together with your colleague, you load up your mechanic's van with the necessary materials and an extensive toolbox, which will allow you to set up the furniture properly. On the way, you will discuss the approach for on-site, so you can get straight down to work there. On location, today the head office of a film production company, the parts of the furniture to be installed are ready for you to assemble together with another furniture fitter. Together with your colleague, you assemble the furniture piece by piece and ensure the right finishing touches are put in place to create a beautiful finished product. In between, you eat a sandwich with your colleague. At the end of the day you clean up the used items, so the customer is not inconvenienced, and you drive back to INTOS.
