In the design of an environment, every end-user needs to come into their own. This also applies to offices, shops and leisure environments, such as catering and cultural institutions. However, end-user needs are constantly changing under the influence of social developments, such as digitalisation and flexibilisation. The demand for gaining an experience when visiting a location is also growing. This makes every office design, shop interior and leisure environment unique. And INTOS realises this uniqueness with love!
Right from its foundation in 1991, INTOS builds interiors for working, retail and leisure environments. In this, we work structurally and closely together with or commissioned by an architect. In these cooperation we fulfil the role of interior builder possibly in combination with the role of main contractor. We also provide maintenance for long enjoyable use.
Tailor-made interiors for an optimal experience
Custom-made furniture and other tailor-made elements for furnishing often give interior projects just the unique feel that clients within retail or leisure, but sometimes also within offices, are looking for for their guests. INTOS is the specialist in high-quality custom furnishing and interior design. We work with a permanent team from start to finish, i.e. from engineering to production and on-site assembly. In our 12,000 m2 workshop, we build innovative customised solutions and have intermediate coordination moments with the client and end user. Everything to ensure that our customised work truly meets the wishes and expectations.
Interior finishing and furniture match seamlessly
In a renovation where interior finishing and furniture come together, it is often a challenge to match them perfectly. For INTOS, this is familiar territory. As a main contractor, we are regularly responsible for large turnkey projects to small renovations, including office, retail and leisure projects. In these projects, we have a central role between the end user and the client. We work from a clear planning, making the time schedule clear to everyone and the project running efficiently. By also prefabricating as many components as possible ourselves, we shorten the construction time on site even further. In the end result, the finishing work and the furniture always fit together seamlessly!
Maintenance for long-term enjoyment of furnishings
In offices, shops and leisure environments, different end users come together; employees from their own organisation, visitors and customers. Everyone handles the interior with different care. And certain interior parts will be used more intensively than others. With the INTOS maintenance team, we offer preventive maintenance solutions to avoid potentially costly repairs. But we also offer a legion of corrective maintenance services in case of actual damage. Because the maintenance team consists of experienced and specially trained interior maintenance technicians, the interior is in good hands with us even after completion!
Intensive cooperation with architect for perfect end result
The architect or designer is at the cradle of the final interior design. It is up to INTOS to make the translation from design to actual realisation. Good cooperation between us and the architect is therefore crucial for a perfect end result. How does that collaboration work?
In this video, Mark Koops, team leader at INTOS, and Ingrid Hogenberg-Jeuring, talk about how they work together on an office project and what this close collaboration brings to both of them.
"I always get very happy when I arrive at the construction site and see that things are as we thought them out. And that all the details are right again. When you have that collaboration with each other, it's super nice!", says Ingrid Hogenberg-Jeuring, interior designer at IJ.

With hybrid working, the demand for flexibility in office design is high. From modular and movable partitions that make it easy to enlarge and reduce rooms to multi-purpose workstations for calling, conferring or relaxing. The integration of sufficient greenery in the form of trees and plants also places different demands on the finish, interior and furniture of an office.
These new challenges, combined with existing requirements such as in the field of ergonomics, INTOS proactively solves them. We create office furniture from a strong combination of both innovative thinking and common sense. We think along proactively and come up with innovative solutions which fit both the end user's needs and the current times. Everything to create a pleasant working environment that is also a calling card for visitors!
More than ever, the customer experience is central when developing a new shop concept. Customers want to be surprised when entering a shop. A well thought-out and elaborate shop interior is the way as a shop owner to stand out and create that experience. But there is often little time for realisation. After all, the shop has to reopen as soon as possible.
Without losing sight of quality, INTOS successfully realises shop interiors. From a completely new interior to individual furniture productions, including checkout furniture and fitting rooms, or a refreshment of the existing interior. We work flexibly so that customers are inconvenienced as little as possible and can regain inspiration in a short time!
An inviting atmosphere and comfortable experience determine the success of museums, theatres, hotels and restaurants. In the hospitality sector, there are also specific wishes and requirements for the interior, such as intensive use. Especially in the leisure sector, it is important to look closely at budgetary feasibility during realisation. Without compromising the class of the interior, of course.
Here INTOS thinks critically and structurally from experience. We know almost all possibilities in material use, finishing and detailing. In close cooperation with the architect, we always provide a suitable solution which is comfortable for the client and his guests!
"We have worked with INTOS for a number of years for both external hospitality projects and our own concept stores. In all cases, our assignments bring challenges for the builders because we like to design innovative solutions. Think of cash registers completely hidden from view but round, soft shapes are also a favourite when adapting our stores to the new zeitgeist. At INTOS, they always think with me and I can read and write with Mark and his project team. Whatever I come up with, I never doubt it will work out. The best example? Our flagship store in The Mall of the Netherlands in Leidschendam, which has really become a gem!"
