Work planner (interior construction)

Work planner (interior construction)

As an interior construction planner, your strength lies in translating the architect's design into a feasible concept. You work out the technical details for various custom-made furniture designs in order to create the most beautiful interiors. A diverse range of tasks ensures that you have a pleasant working day; one moment you are working on clear working drawings, the next you are ordering the required materials or drawing up a correct cost overview of the project. You also take care of good administration and monitor the project planning. As a work planner, you will be part of one of our project teams and within this team you will work on various projects. With you on the team, our custom-made interiors will come into their own!

What will you do?

A day in the life of a work planner

You start the day with a meeting with your project manager and the calculator about the new interior construction project at a major international airport. They will give you information about the furniture to be built, the material requirements and the timeframe for delivery. Afterwards, you go with them to the customer to take exact measurements of the situation on site, so that you know exactly which piece of furniture has to go where and can take this into account in the design. Once back at INTOS, you have lunch with some colleagues at our 'Groote Markt' or take a walk outside through the Waarderpolder.

In the afternoon, you set up the production planning and take your first stab at ordering exceptional materials. You also work out the architect's design in Vectorworks into a 3D concept drawing that is coordinated with the client. You consult with your machining colleagues and then draw up documents and drawings so that they can process the (sheet) materials for your project correctly and optimally. In between, you answer questions from colleagues and suppliers about this new project and other ongoing projects.
