You are enthusiastic about beautiful and challenging interior designs and enjoy studying how to realise such a design technically. You enjoy figuring things out and making calculations. As a calculator, you are already building the furniture we make in your head! You think about the materials, construction possibilities and internal hours needed to make a piece of furniture. With this, you are at the cradle of new projects and make an important contribution to a successful start of the project. This forms the basis for the rest of the process in which the furniture is actually made and installed. While calculating, you are in internal contact with the project managers and planners and externally with suppliers and clients for optimal cooperation!

What does a calculator do at INTOS? Join us for a day!
You start your day at 7:30 and settle yourself at your desk. A meeting is scheduled this morning with your project team leader. With him, you discuss the request for proposal for the redesign of the office of a tech company. In the early stages of the project, you are closely involved in the choice of materials and construction options. You are an important sparring partner, which is why you discuss the client's requirements together. After the meeting, you immediately set to work independently to map out the total costs, so that you can provide the client with a quote at short notice. You estimate the materials needed to realise this project from start to finish. You request quotations from suppliers to see what the purchase costs and delivery times are for a number of sheet materials and metal.
The morning has flown by and it is already time for lunch. You join us at our 'Groote Markt' where we all have lunch together or take a walk through the Waarderpolder. After the lunch break, you get the message that a request you calculated has now become an order! That's great, because you put a lot of time into the calculations last week and had regular contact with both the client and suppliers to arrive at the best calculation for the project. It involves the interior of a new hotel. The project manager has immediately scheduled a meeting with you and the work planner to ensure that you can properly transfer all the necessary information to each other. The end of the day is now approaching, but you already start calculating the number of internal hours needed to build the various pieces of furniture for the tech company's office. So you switch effortlessly between the various ongoing projects and no day is ever the same!
